OB-Xf, free and open-source Oberheim-inspired synth, is now in beta - CDM Create Digital Music

Surge Synth Team’s OB-Xf, a free GPLv3 Oberheim OB-X–inspired software synth, has entered beta via nightly builds. Cross-platform installers (macOS/Windows/Linux) are available; the beta adds MIDI Program Change support and is considered stable with MIDI learn UI/UX still to finish. Community-led and GitHub-hosted, it’s a practical open-source instrument for game music and sound design workflows, with web-compatible builds also noted (e.g., Apotome).
