Universal Music Group is partnering with Splice to develop commercial AI-powered music creation tools and virtual instruments focused on creative control and IP-respecting workflows. UMG artists will help shape the products, extending Splice’s existing AI features, DAW integrations, and momentum following its Spitfire Audio acquisition. This could impact game composers and sound designers who use Splice/Spitfire by introducing new trusted, AI-driven, rights-cleared tools into their workflows.
