Warner Music Group and AI music platform Suno have formed a licensing-focused partnership that settles prior litigation and aims to create new, revenue-generating AI music experiences. Suno will launch licensed models in 2026 (deprecating current ones), add paid-only downloads with caps, and implement an opt-in system for artist name/image/voice/composition usage. Suno also acquired Songkick from WMG. This signals tightening, pro-licensing frameworks for AI-generated music that could impact how creators (including game audio teams) source and use AI music legally.
